Robin

A solid wood frame, left visible, the headboard sits inside it, hand-pulled over padded wadding, held between two uprights that read like the posts of a traditional four-poster, shortened to the height of the pillow.

The grain of the wood is the ornament. We stain it in ash, walnut, or ebony, or lacquer it in any RAL colour. The upholstery follows hand-pulled in velvet, linen, or leather.

Headboard height, bed dimensions, and finish all adjustable.

The frame holds the headboard.

Four finishes return more often than the others: ash for Scandinavian rooms, walnut for the pied-à-terre, ebony for the Parisian suite, white lacquer for the architect’s own house. The frame does the work; the upholstery follows.
